The Airplane Terrorism

One minute you're sitting down to your desk. The next moment, an airplane slams into your building and there are flames all around you. The picture of your kids melts and burns. You stagger to the stairs and try to find a way down...down...down...down.

You make it 20 floors before you run into the traffic jam of people. Slowly you go down...down... down...9 steps - turn left. 9 steps - turn left. 9 steps - turn left. 9 steps - turn left. Another floor closer to the ground and safety....

You realize that you've made it to the 5th floor. Safety is ahead....down...down...down...

Suddenly you hear a roar above. Something hits your head as the building crashes down. And then.....

Well, that's a good point isn't it? What happens then? What happened to the people in the towers. What would happen to YOU? Or your husband? Or your wife? Or your child?

People have five answers.

• Nothingness (The atheist's position).
• Resurrection. What I'll be resurrected as depends upon my spiritual growth in this life (the Hindu position).
• I'm good, so I'll go to Heaven. (Most people think this is the Christian position).
• I'm bad, so I guess I'll go to Hell. (Most people's belief)
• I know Jesus, so I'll be resurrected when Jesus returns. (This IS the Biblical Christian position)

Which one is correct?

More importantly, which is correct FOR YOU?

I don't have enough space here to discuss this in detail, but I can give you a couple of points to think about:

1. The answer is critically important to you. Because the answer directly affects the way you should live your life. If atheists are right, church is a waste of valuable time. If Christians are right, church is the most valuable use of time.

2. It is important that you determine what the right answer is quickly. You must decide quickly because you never get warning when you will have a car accident, a heart attack, a school shooting, or .... a plane will run into your building.

What should you do?

1. We'd like you to think about the thousands of lives that suddenly ended when those buildings collapsed.

2. Consider the posibilities of this happening to your life, or the lives of your loved ones.

3. Begin immediately to think about your ultimate end. What happens when the ceiling collapses on you?

4. Print out this page, turn off the computer, and do one of the following:
   1. Look in the phone book and call the office of that nice, neat church near you. You know the one -- it always looks so attractive to you. Ask the person who answers if they can tell you about Jesus. Use those words "Tell me about Jesus".

   2. Pray the following prayer.

      "Jesus, I've made mistakes in my life. The greatest has been not listening to your message. If you'll teach me, I'll try to learn. Even though I don't fully understand this, I believe that You are the Son of God, and that you came to earth to save me personally from eternal death and to give me eternal life. You were killed, but were able to become alive again, proving that you are the Son of God. And in some way, your death was to pay the fine for my crimes and mistakes. Please accept my apology and forgive me. From now on, I will do what you ask. Please send me someone who can teach me. Amen."

      Then tell a strong Christian who you know and ask them what to do next.
